Saludos y presentaciones
Greet people, introduce yourself, and switch between tú and usted with confidence.
Spanish greetings change with time of day and how well you know someone. Start with hola for almost anyone, then add buenos días, buenas tardes or buenas noches when you want to sound polished.
To introduce yourself, say Me llamo… or Soy… plus your name. Answer ¿Cómo te llamas? the same way. Close with Mucho gusto when you meet someone new, and Encantado / Encantada if you want a warmer tone.
Register matters. Use tú with friends, classmates and people your age. Use usted with older strangers, shop staff you do not know, or formal emails. Pair polite asks with por favor and thank people with gracias.
Practice out loud: greet → name → nice to meet you → goodbye (adiós or hasta luego). When that loop feels automatic, move on to numbers so you can handle prices and times next.
